Host. Fix. Build.
Most projects start in one of three places. Keeping something running, fixing what's already there, or building what's missing. Not sure which is yours? That's normal, and a first conversation sorts it out.
The examples below are starting points for a conversation, not a menu. Every business runs a little differently, so we’d rather hear about yours first.
Host: Hosting Keep it running
A sensible home for your website, shop or app, chosen for what it actually needs rather than the biggest number on a comparison chart.
Hosting is usually sold by the spec sheet. We’d rather start with what you run, who uses it and what happens if it stops, then find a fit that’s easy to live with.
Covers Moves · Sizing · Updates · Backups · Certificates · Domains
Worth talking about
- Moving an existing site. What you have now, what's slow or fiddly about it, and what a calmer setup could look like.
- Picking the right size. Shared, dedicated or somewhere in between. We'll talk through the tradeoffs in plain language.
- The quiet maintenance. Updates, backups, certificates and domains, and who keeps an eye on which.
A good first questionWhat are you running today, and what would you like to stop worrying about?
Fix: Technology services Fix and improve
Hands-on help with the systems you already have. Untangling, upgrading, connecting and tidying up.
This is workbench work. We look at what’s there, explain what we find, and fix things in an order that makes sense for your business, not ours.
Covers Stalled projects · Accounts · Email · Tools · Planned moves
Worth talking about
- A second pair of hands. For when a project has stalled, or the person who set things up has moved on.
- Tidying a tangled setup. Accounts, domains, email and tools that grew one quick fix at a time.
- Planning a move. Getting off something old without losing the parts that work.
A good first questionWhat's the thing everyone quietly works around?
Build: Technology solutions Build what's missing
Custom tools and integrations for when off-the-shelf software gets you most of the way, but not all of it.
Retail taught us that the gaps between systems are where the time goes. We like building the small, sturdy pieces that close those gaps, and keeping them simple enough to hand over.
Covers Stock and sales sync · Automated routines · Small custom tools
Worth talking about
- Online and in-store, in step. Getting stock, orders and sales to agree between a website, a point of sale and the spreadsheet in the back room.
- Retiring the copy-and-paste. Turning a weekly manual routine into something that runs by itself and tells you when it didn't.
- Small tools that fit. A stock check, an event list or a booking sheet, built around how your team actually works.
A good first questionIf you could stop doing one task by hand, which would it be?
Not sure which panel you’re in?
Most projects touch more than one.
Describe the problem and we’ll work out the rest together.
